PIVOT POINTS
Sophisticated pillow block and sealed ball bearings and extra large, self lubricating oil-lite bronze bushings are used at all pivot points for precision movement and friction-free performance.
FINISH
An electrostatically applied powder coat finish protects every Body-Solid product. This is the same process used on industrial machinery because of its durability. It resists scratches, chipping and corrosion, and makes cleaning a breeze.
DURAFIRM PADS
Our exclusive DuraFirm pads are tear resistant, extra thick and ultra comfortable. We use the highest density foam in the industry with an 8 Lb. rebond rating to ensure total support.
CABLES
Our nylon-coated cables are constructed of 2200Lb. test, galvanized steel in a 7 x 19 cable pattern. Our cables are engineered to meet U.S. military specifications and carry a 4:1 safety factor against stretching and breakage.
PULLEYS
Impact resistant, Body-Solid pulleys are precision matched to our cable diameter and engineered for precise cable tracking. Fiberglass reinforced nylon pulleys revolve on sealed ball bearings that never need maintenance and provide a lifetime of friction-free performance.
FRAMES
All Body-Solid machine frames feature all-4-side welded construction instead of the typical 2-side stitch welds that have become common in the industry. We use heavy-duty 2" x 2", 2" x 3" and 2" x 4" high tensile strength steel in our mainframes along with hardened, heavy gauge bolts and reinforcement plates for rock-solid stability.
